Condolence: Monette Gartin was a true lady and a woman of God. I went to church with her at the old Verdunville Church of God and I helped her with my son's Sunday School class at the church over 30 years ago and she was a true blessing for those children as she educated them in the Bible and the Bible characters. I learned more from her teaching those small children than I ever did from biblical sermons from men with PHDs. I will always keep those fond memories in my heart of a great lady, Monette. Also I remember her working at Murphys Dept. Store. She was always there taking care of problems with her keys on her side. I'll always remember her flat shoes and beautiful "Church of God" hairstyle. I'm sorry to say as years passed by and the miles separated us, I haven't gotten to see her in many years, but by her photo she never changed. She will remain in my heart and my memory and the world is a better place because of her contributions in teaching the Bible to the children of Logan County.

Condolence: Monette was a very loving & caring person. She was in the Verdunville Church of God when I was a young person growing up. anet Webb Doss, my sister, always updated me about how Monette came by the court house to share her homemade goodies with everyone. I had the pleasure of seeing her in recent years and she was the same as I remembered her. Logan will miss her smiling & caring face. I know she is in heaven with her loved ones. She will be missed by all who knew her.
