Elizabeth (Liz) Langford Spurlock, age 89 of Logan departed this life on May 7, 2016 at Logan Regional Medical Center. Born July 30, 1926 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred Yantis Langford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Mark S. Spurlock and one brother Tom Langford.

Mrs. Spurlock was active in many community functions including The Aracoma Story, Inc.

She is survived by two sons, Steve (Rebecca) Spurlock of Polk City, Florida and Andy Spurlock of Las Vegas, Nevada, one granddaughter Jordan Elizabeth Spurlock of Polk City, FL, one niece Linda Langford of Dallas, TX, one nephew Pete Spurlock of Logan, her caregiver and special friend Jeanetta Johnson, and a host of other good friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Logan with Pastor Jim Musgrave and Father George Kostas officiating her services. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Friends may call from 6-9 on Friday at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan, and one hour prior to services at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Paws Squad Animal Rescue 1412 Lincoln Highway Chapmanville, WV 25508, The Aracoma Story, Inc., or the First Presbyterian Church in Logan.
