Carrie Browning
The angels relocated Carrie Williamson Browning, 95 of Verdunville to her heavenly mansion on March 14, 2016. You are cordially invited to visit her upon your arrival to the eternal city.
Mrs. Browning was the daughter of the late John and Elisabeth Wiley Williamson of Lincoln County. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Browning Sr., two sons Rayburn and Claude (Infant), two sisters, Aquilla Slade and Louisa Neace, seven brothers, Lindsey, Noah, Elzie, Robert, Ivory, Leeander and Dillard Williamson.
Carrie was a homemaker and an active member of the Maryetta United Baptist Church. She loved her church family and attending church services. Carrie spent many joyful years as a cook for the Bethlehem Association of United Baptist Churches Youth Camp and the annual Association meeting. She eagerly anticipated the Association from one year to the next, and was an avid supporter of it. Her entire life consisted of being a loving mother and serving God.
Those left to cherish her memory are Virgil (Kathy) Browning, Jr. and Iris Kammer of Verdunville, Donald (Billie) Browning of Fort Gay, Tammie (Ron) Thompson of Verdunville, seven grandchildren, Virgil Browning III of Texas, Robin Floyd of Florida, Marcia Toney of Verdunville, Carrie Hensley of Hillsboro, Ohio, Craig Kammer of Huntington, Rayburn and Brad Browning both of Huntington, sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 17, 2016 at 11:00AM at the Maryetta United Baptist Church at Verdunville, WV, with Rev. Virgil Browning, Jr., Rev. Lonnie Gore, Jr. and Rev. Drew Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby,WV.
Friends may call on the family from 6:00 - 9:00 PM on Wednesday March 16, 2016 at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan.
