Michael "Duke" Hackney 60 years old of Stollings, WV died Monday, March 24,
2014. He was born October 9, 1953 at Ethel, WV, the son of the late Hubert
and Irene Deskins Hackney. In addition to his parents he is preceded in
death by his brother Howard Hackney

Duke was a graduate of Logan High School and a retired machinist. He enjoyed
the outdoors and loved four wheeling, golf, bowling, and NASCAR.

Duke is survived by one daughter, Kelly Bartlett from Murfeesboro, TN and
one granddaughter, Rianna Bartlett. Three brothers Mac (Faye) Hackney of
Myrtle Beach SC., Pete (Judy) Lavalette, WV, Timmy (Cheryl) of Stollings, WV.
Five sisters: Shirley Rutherford of Madison WV, Linda (Roger) Workman of
Foster, WV, Diana (Don) Cavell of Loris, SC, Tammy Duty of Madison WV, Lisa
(Mark)Goodall of Charleston, WV and several nieces and nephews and a host of
family and friends.

Services will be conducted at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan WV on Wednesday
at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Robbie Gollihue officiating. Friends may call
on Wednesday from 12:00 - 2:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in
Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.
