Emory Gingise, 81 of Whitman passed away Monday October 28, 2013 at his home with his wife by his side. Born August 30, 1932 in Ethel, WV, he was the son of the late George and Margaret Beres Gingise. Emory was also preceded in death by one son Anthony “Tony” Gingise and a brother Tommy Gingise.
Emory was a 1949 graduate of Logan High School. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He loved to fish at Cherokee Lake in TN. Loved to watch and read the news for hours.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Bonnie Boschian Gingise, one son Emory John Gingise II and companion Peggy Harper of Montgomery, WV, three daughters Elizabeth (Rich) Sanders of Ft. Wayne, IN, Susan (Bob) Goins of Whitman and Margaret (Scott) Napier of Riverview, FL, one sister Sharon (Leo) Mendez of Detroit, MI, three granddaughters, two grandsons, two great granddaughters and five great grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews.
