Obituary for Leonard Bartram Jr.

Leonard Bartram, age 67 of Kermit departed this life on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Hospital. Born March 8, 1948 at Landville, WV he was the son of the late Leonard, Sr. and Florence Mae Cantabury. He was also preceded in death by brothers Virgil, William, and Michael, sister Joe Bug Mayhorn, son-in-law Dennie Karl Carver, sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth Bartram, and brother-in-law Ernie Mayhorn.
Leonard was a coal miner for Chafin Coal, but "buddy" was more than that, he was a caring and loving father of three beautiful daughters. He was kind to all, if you needed help he was always ready to help and you knew you could count of "ole" Buddy to lend a hand.
He is survived by daughters Pennie Rose Bartram Imes (Fred Howard), Jenny Ann Bartram Carver (Lundy Brewer), and Tammie Melinda Bartram Waller (Roger Dale Waller), brother Ralph Bartram if it wasn't for him by our side we would not have made it, sisters Eva Kirk, Doris Schott, Kathy Cummin, Christine Sullivan, and Pam Emlet, ex-wife Wanda Rose Bartram Salmon, seven grandchildren Floyd William Hall, Eric Karl Carver, Ariel Nicole Carver, Michael Brason Imes, Abigail Melody Rose Burton, Kristopher Kyam Hall Salmons, Krista Dawn Meanor, six great-grandchildren and two on the way, also a lifelong friend, Cecil (Jr.) Gay (Darlene Gay.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan. Friends may call from 11:00 - 1:00 on Thursday at the funeral home. Following visitation and funeral services he is to be cremated.
The family wish to express to the staff of St. Mary's Hospital Oncology unit, Dr. Burr, and Buddy's friends there utmost thanks and appreciation for their compassion and help during this time of sadness. God bless you all.
