Marcus Dwayne Franklin, age 41 of Omar departed this life on April 1, 2016 from injuries he received in a ATV accident in the Omar area. Born March 8, 1975 at Logan, he was the son of Billie Ann Franklin of Gilbert and the late Jimmy Dale Farley.
Marcus was a retired member of the United States Air Force with 20 years service to his country. He loved his state of West Virginia and its people.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Nunley Franklin, one daughter Brie-Eyre Franklin also of Wilkinson, brothers Pete (Melissa) Farley of West Logan, James "Runt" (Pam) Farley of Logan, and Brandon (Kelly) Franklin of Colorado Springs, CO, three sisters Cindy (Bryan) Adams of Logan, Trina (Danny) Gore of Logan, and Angel Franklin of Gilbert, special niece and nephew Savannah and Tyler Mileto along with other nieces, nephews, and cousins, Aunt Linda (Momma) Smith of Omar, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday April 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan with officiating. Burial will follow with Military Graveside Rites at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Friends may call from 1:00 until 2:00 on Saturday at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
